Therapeutic Yoga

Therapeutic Yoga can be a group class or a one-to-one session that focuses on your individual needs.
Laura Yon-Brooks, M.A., LMP, RYT, specializes in helping people recover from an illness or long-term injury and in the relief of chronic pain and discomfort. Many people have benefited from Laura's knowledge and compassion and
have overcome chronic injury and pain and have felt more comfortable
making the transition to a group yoga class.
A typical therapeutic yoga session may include an initial consultation, yoga postures, assisted therapeutic stretches, breathing practices and relaxation/meditation techniques. All postures are based on gentle Hatha Yoga movements and can easily be adapted to accomodate any age or physical limitation.
You may also benefit from a bodywork session, where we can focus more deeply on specific areas of the body. Laura has 21 years of experience in helping relieve long-term chronic pain and injuries with therapeutic massage.
