Lisa Yeager

Desk Jockey, office dweller by day, yogi by night -- making yoga work at work, play, and in-between

Lisa has been exploring and practicing yoga, meditation, and movement for over 15 years--ever since a choreographer she worked with 'slipped in' some yoga in dance classes in the 1980s. She has studied multiple styles of yoga since then, always seeking to learn more about the various ways to use different techniques. She completed her teacher training with Laura Yon-Brooks in 2005 and is a registered yoga teacher. Most recently, taught classes at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Reserach Center as part of a research study investigatig the affects of yoga on breast cancer survivors.

She enjoys working with students to use yoga to help them meet their individual needs. Sometimes that means focusing on building balance, strength, and flexibility for 'weekend warriors,' other times that means finding a way to bring a respite of breath and relaxation to a hectic workplace. Through it all she brings a sense of humor and play to the forefront, because, "if it isn't fun, it isn't working."

Lisa teaches "Pay What you Can" Yoga, Friday, 5:45 pm
